B.Sc. Dialysis Technology is a 4 year undergraduate program from MAHS which split up into 3 semesters with 1 year of internship. The quality of medical care has improved tremendously in the last few decades due to the advances in technology, thus creating fresh challenges in the field of healthcare. Dialysis Technology prepares students to become trained dialysis technicians who provide strong paramedical support system to hospitals for providing specialized care to renal failure patients. In close collaboration with nephrologists, dialysis technicians perform routine dialysis as well as specialised pre-dialysis treatments, such as sterilising and maintaining equipment for patients with chronic renal failure awaiting kidney transplant. They contribute significantly to easing the suffering of these individuals and enhancing their quality of life. There are many patients in the nation and around the world who require this type of care, and the area is constantly increasing.
